The event will bring together a select group of architects, designers, curators, and critics to speculate and evaluate the critical role of art and architecture in shaping cities through design—globally, regionally, and locally in Dubai.

Following an opening conversation, ‘Cultural Infrastructure: Critical perspectives on cultural institutions’, the symposium will unfold in two parts through two panel discussions, 'Capital Construction: Architecture as a strategy, to build cultural capital in an evolving context' and 'Cultural Confluences: Curating a local design culture & dialogue, through global perspectives'. The conference is open and free to attend, though pre-registration is necessary.
